Shangri La volunteers help remove trash from Adams Bayou February 2.
For more than 10 years, volunteers have gathered on the first Saturday in February to do their part to make the Orange community a cleaner place. More than 80,000 pounds of trash have been removed from streets, ditches and Adams Bayou since the inception of this program. Many families take this chance to take a boat ride down the bayou and help clean up nature. At noon, participants celebrate with pizza, give-aways and awards. It's a great way to spend time together and make the city beautiful.
